Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Correl Baker, 93, died Jan. 29 at Cape Girardeau Nursing and Health Center. Born March 18, 1890 in Robinson, Ill., she was the daughter of Isaac and Mary McRainey Hayes. She was the widow of Arthur Allen Correll.
She is survived by two sons, James A. Correll of Caruthersville and Herbert H. Correll of Toronto, Canada; Two daughters, Mrs. Lola Buchanan of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Thelma Slaten of Scott City; One stepdaughter, Mrs. Ethel Edwards of Blytheville; Two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Barnhardt of Vincennes, Ind., and Mrs. Ethel South of Robinson; Twenty-two grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. at H.S. Smith Funeral Home chapel in Caruthersville, the Rev. Paul Currie officiating, with burial in Maple Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Sander, Kenneth Simpson, Mitchell Ellison, Joe A. Correll, Delbert Buchanan and Michael Henson.
