Mrs. Clinton, the daughter of Floyd and Frances Beasley, was born on Oct. 10, 1946, in New Haven. In 1965, she married her lifelong beloved husband, Anson B. Clinton Jr. in West Haven. Dee successfully operated her own business "My Toy Kennel" in Old Lyme. She was actively involved in local politics and was a member of the Republican Town Committee for many years. Following the death of her oldest son, she dedicated her life to the mission of victim's rights. She was an active member of Survivors of Homicide, a non-profit organization that served homicide survivors and was elected President in 2000 to 2002. She was known and respected for kindness, integrity, a sense of humor, and wisdom. She was a member of Christ the King Church in Old Lyme.
Mrs. Clinton is survived by her loving husband, Anson; her son, William H. Clinton of Old Lyme; her daughter, Suzanne G. Clinton of Scotland, Conn.; her father, Floyd Beasley of Tennessee; her brother, Francis Joseph Beasley of Norwich, and several grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her eldest son, Anson B. Clinton III.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2009, in Christ the King Church in Old Lyme. Interment will follow in Duck River Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009, in Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Beckwith Lane, Old Lyme, CT 06371.
