Anson S. White Dies At Soldiers Home Hospital
Anson S White of Clinton died a civil war veteran died at the home hospital at 4:30 this morning of myocarditis. He was born at Bradford, Pa. Sept. 8 1832 and came to the home from Clinton, May 28 1915. He enlisted in Company H. Fourty-fifth Illinois Infantry Nov. 11 1862, at Rock Island, Ill. and was discharged at Jackson, Tenn., Nov 16, 1862. Two daughters survive him. The latter are Mrs. Emma Babbitt of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Margaret Babbitt of Jared, Wash.
