He was the son of Thomas Harrison Minger and Estella Evelyn McCammon Minger.

He married Beulah Lorene Dilley July 2, 1945.

Father of Rose Ann and Doris Irene Minger.

OBITUARY:

GEORGE C. MINGER

FAIRBANKS -- George C. Minger, 72, of Fairbanks died at 6:55 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, 1987, at Mary Sherman Hospital.

He was born July 13, 1914, in Shelburn to Thomas Minger and Estella McCammon Minger. He retired after 19 1/2 years as custodian of Fairbanks Elementary School. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Terre Haute.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene Dilley Minger, two daughters, Rose Ann Gaskins, Farmersburg and Doris Halberstadt, Carlisle; one brother, Bob , Terre Haute; two sisters, Anna Minger, Terre Haute and Velma Everly, Shelburn; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Fidler-McHugh Farmersburg Chapel with the Rev. Larry Grimble officiating. Burial is in the Pogue Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
