James Finklea Maxwell, age 60, 114 Chestnut Street, passed away at his home Monday evening about six o'clock. He was a retired druggist and a respected citizen of Roanoke, his home for the past several years.
Mr. Maxwell is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Julian Nash Sparrow of Germany; two brothers, R. S. Maxwell of Punta Gorda, Fla., and J. N. Maxwell of Lakeland, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Nettle Parker of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Mrs. Nettle Lee Snugg of Birmingham.
Funeral services for Mr. Maxwell were conducted Wednesday morning at ten o'clock from the chapel of Quattlebaum's Funeral Home, with Dr. Austin Staples officiating. Interment was in Cedarwood Cemetery, Quattlebaums Funeral Home directing.
