At nine o'clock last Wednesday night Mrs. Thenie W. Davis died at the home of her daughter Mrs. J. A. Jeffers, in this place. She had been ill for some weeks, but death came suddenly and unexpectedly, a result of heart failure.
The funeral was held from the Baptist church Thursday at 5 o'clock, conducted by Revs. G. E. Brewer and S. L. Dobbs.
Mrs. Davis was a native of Georgia and was about 73 years of age. She was a member of the Baptist church and was a devoted Christian. She was an estimable lady, held in high esteem by all who knew her.
