Aunt Lizzie was 88 years of age, having been born in Chambers County on May 9, 1857. She took an active interest in her home, church, relatives, and friends until the very end. She held membership in the Methodist Church for eighty years and was a regular attendant at services until she grew too feeble just a few weeks before her death.
Survivors are one son, W. F. Danielly, Roanoke druggist; one daughter, Mrs. Whit S. Lane, of Roanoke; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister.
Mrs. Danielly's pastor, Rev. Denson Franklin, assisted by Rev. T. R. McKibbens and Rev. Belt White, was in charge of the funeral service at the First Methodist Church Friday afternoon at 2:30, paying fitting tribute to the beautiful and inspiring life of the deceased. The church choir rendered the appropriate old hymns How Firm A Foundation and Jesus, Lover of My Soul, and Mrs. Frank Hornsby sang as a solo Going Home. Interment was in the city cemetery, with Quattlebaums Funeral Home in charge.
