Funeral services were held Monday for Eli Voyles, 86, who died Saturday at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel.
He was born Oct. 17, 1905, in Corinth, Miss. He was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County and was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of Central Baptist Church in Idabel.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Floy Ray Voyles, of Idabel; one son, Joe Voyles of Idabel; four daughters, Anna Jean Kupke of Idabel, Naomi Farris of Huntsville, Texas, Martha Logan of Garvin, and Sue Warren of Broken Bow; two sisters, Una McBrayer of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Merle Epperly of Wichita, Kan.; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Central Baptist Church in Idabel with Bro. Daniel Williams officiating, assisted by Dale Kirkhuff.
Burial was in Denison Cemetery in Idabel under direction of Norwood/Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home of Idabel.
