Jesse Ernest Mumpower, member of a Clackamas County pioneer family and lifetime resident of this area, died Wednesday at a local hospital. Funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 PM at Holman-Hankins-Rilance Chapel, followed by burial in the Logan Cemetery.
A retired commerical fisherman, Mr. Mumpower was born Jan. 26, 1886 at Carver. He was the grandson of pioneers Horace and Jane Baker, who came to Oregon in 1846.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Butts, Gladstone; two brothers, Milo Mumpower, Eagle Creek; Clark Mumpower, Florence; a sister, Mrs. Ernest Lessard, Santa Rosa, Cal.; a grandson, Ron Carlin, Oregon City; five grandchildren.
