Alva E. Cook, 78, 732 Falls Ave., died at 7 p.m. Friday, April 26, 1996, at the Wabash Healthcare Center.
He was born on June 27, 1917 in Wabash to Albert E. and Amanda (Porter) Cook. He married Beatrice Hollingshead on Feb. 3, 1941 in Wabash. She survives.
A lifelong Wabash County resident, he was a self-employed contractor.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Margaret) DeLong, Wabash; a sister, Mrs. Manual (Ruth) Leach, Wabash; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchidren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Eddingfield-DeLaughter Mortuary. The Rev. Paul Horine will officiate. #Burial will be in Falls Cemetery.
