Lucille Mary Richardson died on Wednesday December 30, 1998 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Born on January 1, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Mary Richardson.

She was a loyal and devoted member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the Eva Cole Boone Missionary Society. She was also a life member of the Women's Division of Baptist General Convention. She was retired from the University of Virginia, Building and Grounds Department.

She is survived by two granddaughters, Carole and Brenda, four great grandchildren, two nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Carole F. Richardson-Drakeford, four brothers, Herman Richardson, Leroy (Whimp) Richardson, George Richardson and Hugh Richardson, and a sister Gladys Williams.

Loving hands tried to save you,
Prayers and tears were all in vain
