JIM WALTERS

Jim Harmon Walters of Route 2, Oakwood, died in Memorial Hospital at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday following a short illness. He was 76.
Funeral services are to be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at graveside in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Sam C. Ford, pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church, officiating.
The body will be at Bailey Funeral Home here until being taken to the graveside.
Pallbearers will be Otis Pate, Glenn Richmond, Charlie Johnson, Wilburn Johnson, Herman Crouch and Austin Smith.
Mr. Walters was born in Leon County on June 18, 1897, a son of the late Jim H. and Deromie Johnson Walters. A member of the Baptist Church, he was a retired farmer.
Survivors include two brothers, Ray T Walters of Orange, California, and Joe Walters of Dallas; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Anderson of Texas City; and several nieces and nephews.
