Visitation for Clyde Lynn McNeil, 79, a longtime Casa Grande resident, will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Cole & Maud Mortuary. The funeral there will follow at 11, with Keith Cartwright officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. McNeil was born Feb. 13, 1917 in Miami, Arizona. He graduated from Casa Grande Union High School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, when he was a tail gunner on a B-24.
He later worked as a truck driver and bookkeeper and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His main hobby was gardening. He died April 28, 1996 in Mesa.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Lou; four daughters: Jo Lynn Arena, of Tucson, Tammie Helton, Sue Schultz and Donna Brown, all of Casa Grande; a son, Clyde Wayne McNeil, of San Jose, CA; a brother, Deloy, of Casa Grande; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim R. McNeil, in 1986.
