HELEN KATHRYN RAPP--94: passed away Tuesday night [6-16] at Rosewood Care Cntr-Peoria. Helen was born 14 Aug 1914 in Omaha NE, a dau of Clarence & Leah Betts Kirkland. She attended Peoria Centrl high school, where she met the love of her life-Alfred Rapp. Helen married her high school sweetheart on 4 Jun 1938, at First United Methodist Church-Peoria; he preceded her in death in 1969. Helen work-ed as an accountant for all of the central Illin-ois Kroger store offices for 40yrs prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Zeta Phi Sigma business sorority & a devoted member of First United Methodist Church for 75 years. She was also a member of the Fellowship of Friends Sunday school class. Helen enjoyed traveling, especially to WalloonLake MI & shopping. She was an avid StLouis Cardinals & GreenBay Packers fan. Helen especially loved people.
Helen & Al were the proud parents of JoanLea (Charles-her beloved son-in-law) Kuntz & Mar-ilea Kathryn Grundler; a proud Grammy to her adoring grandchildren: Jennifer Kirkland; Kath-ryn Joanna; William Rapp & Alexandra Kathryn. Also surviving are her loving cousin-Bette Babb & nephew-Phil Spangler.
Visitation Sunday evening at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Services will be Monday after-noon [6-22] at First United Methodist Church-Peoria, with Pastor Dan Spreacker officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cem. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church-Peoria IL.
