William E. Dustin

William E. Dustin, 95, retired farmer and breeder of Percheron horses, died unexpectedly Thursday morning at the home of his son, E.J. Dustin, 114 West Twenty-first.

He was born in Iowa, November 22, 1855*, and went to Goodland in 1874, where he served as sheriff two terms. He came to Shawnee county 50 years ago. He formerly lived on route 1. When first coming to Kansas, he established a claim in Sherman county. He was a member of the Methodist church in Berryton.

He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Mayme Parsons of San Bernardino and Mrs. Ella Niccum of route 1, Topeka; a brother, Frank Dustin of Fairfield, Ia.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
