John E. Ranck, 84, of 772 Pequea Ave., Gap, died Friday at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness.
He was the husband of Myrtle S. Summers Ranck. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary in July.
Born in Honey Brook Township, he was a son of the late Harry W. and Susan C. Gregg Ranck.
He was employed for 47 years by the former Coatesville Plate Washer Co., where he was head die setter.
He was a member of Gap United Methodist Church for over 40 years.
