He was the son of Christian and Christina Bischoff Krebs who arrived in the United States in 1733. He was baptized at Muddy Creek Reformed Church, East Cocalico Township in Lancaster County.John Peter Krebs served in the Revolutionary War. He moved to Germany Township, Adams county and married Anna Maria Little.
