Addie was the daughter of Levi Nelson and Mary "Laity" Donahoo. Her whole life was spent within a short distance of where she was born. Some years the family lived on a farm in Richland township, Delaware County, near the Pleasant Valley school house where she went to school and also to Sunday school. Here is where so much of her life was spent. She was not only respected but had a very large circle of warm friends. She had a happy nature. Her manner and her pleasant ways drew friends to her and in the home she was dearly loved. She came to her death suddenly in a auto accident on May 23, 1917 at the age of 19 years, 4 months and 11 days. She is survived by her parents, one sister Mrs. Ottis Smith of Dundee, Iowa and one brother Earl at home. The funeral services were held by Rev. S. C. Bretnall of the church in Edgewood.
