Charles was a retired rancher and school bus driver.
He was a member of the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church of Las Vegas, the San Juan Argonne VFW Post No. 1547 and the BPO Elks Lodge of Las Vegas. He was also a member of the New Mexico Bus Drivers Assn and the Bronson Cutting American Legion Post No. 24.
He is survived by his wife, Eloisa Elena (Baca); two sons, Charles Meyer Jr. and wife Eda May of Phoenix, AZ; and Julius Meyer and wife Connie of Albuquerque; two daughters, Marion Ackerman and husband Frank of Las Vegas, NM; and Consuelo Chouinard and husband Harve of Albuquerque; four brothers, Ben Meyer and wife Charlotte of Algodones; John Meyer of Albuquerque; Julius Jr, and Sam Meyer, both of CA; three sisters, Nina Elliott of Los Angeles, CA; Sister Delores of Santa Ana, CA; and Freda Shelton of CA; and 24 grandchildren.
