Sir Adam Gordon Johnson, was born on May 6, 1781 to Sir John Johnson and Mary Watts.

He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Johnson, of New York, in North America [G.B., 1755] on January 4, 1830 from his father.

He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 6th Battalion of Militia.

He died on May 21, 1843 at the age of 62, unmarried and without issue. As such, he was succeeded by his nephew, William George Johnson.
