Anna K. Babbe, 93, of Mapleton died Saturday at her home in Mapleton. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Mapleton. The Rev. Philip Ritter will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Walter Funeral Home of Mapleton. Mrs. Babbe, the former Anna Rohde, was born Jun 23, 1891, in Mapleton. She married Clement Babbe March 18, 1914, at Mapleton. They lived all their married life in the Mapleton community. He died Sept. 4, 1980. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Berniece Maynard and Mrs. Mildred King, both of Mapleton; two brothers, Theodore of Auburn, Calif., and Edward of Everett, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Caroline Philips of Auburn; three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
