Mrs. Allie Lee Willis Packnett, age 84, a resident of Eagletown , Oklahoma , died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 in the Broken Bow Nursing Home.


She was born August 4, 1924 in Eagletown to Oscar (Dick) and Grace Smith Willis. Allie was a compassionate hard working wife, mother and grandmother who loved God and her family. She was a "war bride" during World War II and worked as a welder at the Willemit Ship Yard in Portland , Oregon . Allie had an adventurous heart and a passion for life. She made her home a warm and welcoming place everyone loved to visit.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, Jack Packnett; two brothers, Warren (Bo) Willis and Max Willis; daughter-in-law, Judy Packnett and granddaughter, Lori O'Connor.


She is survived by one son, Gehri Packnett of De Queen; one daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Darrell Spradling of Hochatown, Oklahoma; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Buck and Alta Willis of Eagletown and Billy and Pat Willis of Horatio; her grandchildren, Debbie and Steve Smith, Scott and Lynn Packnett, Jeff and Rome Lipsey, Paul and Cristal Lipsey, John O'Connor, Sicili Bray, Shiloh and Jody McCoy and Rob and Kelly Spradling; 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.


Funeral Services for Mrs. Packnett will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2009 in the First Assembly of God Church in De Queen with Bro. Ray Reynolds and Bro. Melvin Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Eagletown Cemetery , under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
