Jerry T. Braun, 45, of Morton, Illinois died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at his home.
He was born May 2, 1964, in Decatur to John Roland and Valerie Glee (Simpkins) Braun. He married Dawn E. DeWeerth on April 20, 1991, in Peoria.
Surviving are one son, Colton Braun of Edelstein; one daughter, Makayla Braun of Edelstein; his parents of Morton; one sister, Debra (Jeff) Goodyear of Morton; and his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Braun of Metamora.
He was preceded by his paternal grandfather and his maternal grandparents.
Jerry was employed with the Morton Water Department for 20 years.
He attended Northwoods Community Church in Peoria, where he served as an usher.
He was a former member of the Morton Jaycees.
Burial will be at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton.
