Harmon Winner, aged 60, this place, was found dead Tuesday afternoon in a mine of the Gleason Coal and Coke Company at Gleason, WV where he had been working as a laborer.
He was discovered by a car driver in a sitting posture with the carbide lamp on his cap still burning.
He seemed all right physically when he entered the mine and the cause of death has not yet been determined.
He is survived by his wife and large family, residing here, and the body will likely be brought home.
