FALL FROM CHERRY TREE CAUSE OF MRS. REDDING'S DEATH
As a result of a fall from a cherry tree on Thursday of last week, Mrs. Sarah Redding died at the family residence four miles east of Brookston, Monday evening. Mrs. Redding fell from a ladder, struck the clothes line and then fell to the ground, breaking several ribs and otherwise injuring her internally. She was consious all the time and suffered greatlly. She was born in Tippecanoe county, December 22, 1851. On January 28, 1869 Mr. and Mrs. Redding were united in marriage and to them ten children were born, eight of whom are still living. They are Michael A., James E., of Brookston; John C. of Camden; Leroy W., Charles S., of Delphi; Mrs. Charles Ward, of Rockfield; Silva M. and Pearl, who are at home. Besides the children, the husband, four sisters, two brothers and 16 grandchildren are left to mourn the death of a noble woman.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the residence, Rev. Kuhn, of Thorntown, officiating. Interment was made in the family cemetery near the residence.
