Mrs. Emma Allen
Mrs. Emma Allen, 429 East Bigger, died in a local hospital
Tuesday night. She was born in Lyon County in 1860 while Kansas was still a territory and was said to be the second white child born in that county. She was a resident of Kansas all her life and moved to Hutchinson from Emporia in 1892.
Mrs. Allen had been a member of Hadley Methodist church for years. She was critically ill the last five weeks.
Survivors are there sons, Cecil Allen of the home, Cliff J. Allen, 205 Park, and Sgt. John Allen with an artillery battalion at Camp Ibis, Calif.; two brothers, Frank P. Moon of Emporia and Arthur Moon of Olathe; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Hadley Methodist church with Rev. L.M. Canfield officiating. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
