WINONA, Minn. - Alan E. "Eddie" Brague, age 26, was killed Wednesday, January 21, 1998, when the car he was driving was struck by a train.

He was born March 10, 1971, in St. Paul, Minn. His parents are Allan and Diane (Dahlquist) Brague of rural Winona.

He attended Winona Area Schools and lived most of his life in the Winona area. He loved the outdoors and was passionate about hunting and fishing. Among his most prized possessions were his trophy catches and last season's "150" Class eleven point, 200 pound buck.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Kimberly (Jeff) Jaworski of South St. Paul, Minn. and Deborah (Paul) Brazil of Fremont, Wis.; three nieces, Maranda, Melissa and Morgan Brazil; two nephews, Benjamin and Nicholas Jaworski; two grandmothers, Leone Olson of La Crosse, Wis. and Ardy Brague of Cambridge, Minn.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ernest G. Dahlquist and Robert S. Brague and grandmother, Marian E. Brague. Tragically, the accident also took the life of Emily King, his girlfriend of many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, January 24, 1998, at 1 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Church. Burial in Pickwick Cemetery. Reverend John M. Sauer officiating. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Watkowski-Pronschinske Funeral Home and Saturday from 12 noon until time of the mass at the church. A Christian Wake Service will be Friday at 7:30 p.m. Pallbearers are Ryan Papenfuss, Brandon Sebo, Butch Bauer, Dave Bahr, Tom Tooke and Greg Tooke.

Eddie touched so many lives in the short time with us, he will be sadly missed and forever loved.
