Death of Carl Hendershot.
__Carl Hendershot passed away at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Hendershot's mother, Mrs. Mary Hagan, 614 Second avenue west, at the age of 34 years, following an illness of a year and a half. He was born at Marengo, Iowa, March 1, 1879. When quite young his parents moved to Belle Plaine. About thirteen years ago he came to Cedar Rapids where he resided most of the time since. On November 27, 1901, he was married to Miss E. Mae Hagan. He was a most likeable young man. His long illness was borne with great courage. He was cheerful to the last and ambitious to be at work again. He repeatedly expressed his confidence in Christ as a personal Savior and was not afraid to die.
__Services will be conducted at the home of Mrs. Hagan Saturday at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. E. Winslow Brown, pastor of Olivet Presbyterian church. Interment at Linwood.
__Mr. Hendershot leaves his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. E. Hendershot of Belle Plaine, three sisters, Helen and Mrs. Jessie Morin of Belle Plaine and Mrs. Blanche Park of Storm Lake, and three brothers, Claire, C. J. and Harold.
