Lester Harris Walters, passed away Thursday at Kootenai Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 17, 1904 at Farmington, Wash., he moved with his family to Harrison Flats in 1911 where he attended the Powerline School. He Married the former Violet Chadbourne in Coeur d'Alene on Dec. 22, 1925. He worked in the lumber industry until his retirement in 1967 from Atlas Tie. He was a shop steward of the local IWA/CIO No. 310, a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Senior Citizens.

Survivors include his wife, Violet, at the home; three sons, Robert, Concrete, Wash., Donald, Coeur d'Alene, and John, Puyallup, Wash.; a daughter, Laura Bridgham, Seattle, Wash.; four sisters, Opal Palm, Lela DeAndrea, Edna Bowton, all of Spokane, Wash., and Neva Wright, Mead, Wash.; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.
