Kentwood and a former resident of Donaldsonville. He was a U.S. Army
veteran of World War II. Visiting at Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville,
from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday. Visiting in the funeral home chapel from
8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Entombment in Ascension
Mausoleum. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Pamela Alford,
Kemah, Texas; and two grandchildren, Adam and Alexis Alford. Preceded in
death by his wife, Daisy Cassard Alford; parents, Alanson and Missouri
Fluker Alford; two brothers, Percy and Clifton Alford; and three sisters,
Odell Hoagie, Idell Langois and Vernamae Devane. He was a former member of
Montalbano-Sentilles VFW Post 3766.
