Richard C. Remmey Dead
Richard C. Remmey, senior member of the firm Richard C. Remmey and Co., died at Ocean Grove, N.J., on Tuesday evening of a complication of diseases. Mr. Remmey resided at 1214 West Lehigh avenue, and his funeral will take place on Saturday at 2 o'clock from his late home. The interment will be made in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Remmey was 69 years of age. He was born in this city and he was engaged with his father in the manufacture of stonewear. The business was founded by Mr. Remmey's great-grandfather in New York in 1684 and the plant was moved to this city in 1810. Mr. Remmey was a thirty-second degree mason, a member of the Manufacturers' Club, and one of the organizers of the Northwest Soup Society.
