Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 8 at Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh with the Rev. Floyd C. Been, Sr. of Portland Ave. Pentecostal Holiness Church in Oklahoma City officiating. Burial will follow in Tecumseh Cemetery.
Mrs. Pearson was born April 11, 1928 in Mounds, Oklahoma to James E. & Myrtle E. (Edwards) Austin. She was reared in Mounds, Sapulpa & Bixby. She lived in Oklahoma City for many years and had lived in Tecumseh since 1979. She retired from AT&T in 1979 as a Wire Frame Supervisor. She was a member of the Portland Ave. Pentecostal Holiness Church and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, exercising and making porcelain dolls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Thelma R. Evridge and a brother, Lester L. Austin.
She is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Gene & Jean Ann Toomanof Tecumseh; foster son & spouse, James "Jim" & Ginger Austin of Okla. City; 2 sisters & brothers-in- law, Cleo & Frank Gaddy of Tulsa; Etta & Edward McKinnis of Choctaw; 3 brothers & sisters-in-law, Farris & Frances Austin of Plainville, KS; Eugene & Beatrice Austin of Bakersfield, CA; Dean & Judy Austin of Shawnee; Special friend, Jesse Payne of Tecumseh; 3 grandchildren, Dennis, Nelson & Wesley Tooman of Tecumseh; 7 great-grandchildren & numerous friends & family.
