Norbert J. "Butch" Bonn, 55, of Kenosha died Tues., Oct. 6, at Kenosha Hospital and Medical Center.
Born May 20, 1943, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Norbert John and Coletta Amelia (Myers) Bonn. Following his father's death he lived at Moose Heart from Aug. 1952 until he returned to Kenosha in 1957, where he had resided since. He attended Washington Junior High School and was a 1963 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
He worked as an apprentice lather. He then worked as an auto mechanic at McCurdy's Auto Service before entering the US Army in May 1966. He served at Fort Polk, La., and was then sent to Vietnam. He was attached to the 25th Infantry (Tropical Lighting) 1/5 Mech, "B" Company from 1966 through 1967. He was wounded in action on Jan. 8, 1967, and was honorably discharged. He received the Purple Heart, National Defense, Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign medals, and the Combat Infantry Badge.
On July 20, 1974, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, he married Barbara A. Meyer.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, the 1/5 Mech Society, the American Legion Post 21, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1865, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 20, and the KAVV.
Surviving are his wife of Kenosha; two daughters, both at home; two brothers, both of Kenosha; a sister of Bow NH, and his stepfather of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by a brother, John in infancy.
Piasecki-Althaus-Thulin Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave., is in charge of arrangements.

Bonn - Funeral services for Mr. Norbert J. "Butch" Bonn will be held on Sat., Oct. 10. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Fri. from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Piasecki-Althaus-Thulin Funeral Home. On Sat., Mr. Bonn will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the mass. Butch is also survived by his mother-in-law and father-in-law; Dale and Vi Meyer, many nieces, nephews.
