CIRCLEVILLE - James Garn Wilcock, 74, Circleville, died June 23, 1989, at his home.
He was born April 14, 1915, Spry, to Ralph James and Annie LeFevre Wilcock. He married Gazell Malinda Kocherhans, June 30, 1936, St. George LDS Temple. She died Oct. 29, 1985.
He pioneered the Burr Trail and many other early roads and was a heavy equipment operator in road construction.
Survivors: sons, daughters, Robert Garn, Phoenix; Mrs. Danny (Annie Leona) Bistline, Cane Beds, Ariz.; Mrs. Westley (Ardith Lola) Peterson, Amarillo, Tex.; Ernest Ralph, Kanab; William Levi, Battle Mountain, Nev.; 17 Grandchildren; five Great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Mrs. Madge Stevens, Parowan; Gale O., Panguitch; Arthur G., Kooskia, Ida.; Jack, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs. Orvil (Edith) Hatch. Salt Lake City; Alma L., Midvale.
Funeral services were Wednesday in the Circleville Second LDS Ward chapel, with Bishop Afton Morgan, officiating. Robert Wilcock offered the family prayer. Brenda Robinson played prelude and postlude music and Jacob Wilcock gave the invocation.
Speaker was Lindon Romaine, With remarks by Bishhop Morgan.
Music included selection by the Wilcock Brothers, and selection by Loana Price, Frances Price, Ann Dalton, Afton Jensen, Mary Ella Sudweeks and Beverly Westwood. Alma Wilcock gave the benediction.
Interment was in the Circleville Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Larry Hatch offered the dedicatory prayer. Pllbearers were Ricky Wilcock, William Carman, Adam Wilcock, Kevin Carman, Brad Wilcock and Fredrick Peterson.
Honorary pallbearers were Jacob Wilcock, Leo Enfield, Joseph Enfield, Joseph Wilcock, James Peterson, Jeffery Wilcock and Michael Enfield.
