JAMES A. CROWE
ZIHLMAN -- James Alonzo "Loons" Crowe, 85, formerly of Zihlman, died Monday, July 19, 1993 at Frostburg Hospital. He had been a patient at Frostburg Village Nursing Home.
Born March 12, 1908 in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late Franklin and Emma (Stokes) Crowe. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Winner Crowe, who died in 1977.
M. Crowe was a member of the At. George's Episcopal Church, Mount Savage, and the Zihlman Sportsman's Club.
He is survived by three sons, James A. Crowe Jr., Baltimore, Albert F. Crowe, Woodland, and Ronald Crowe, Westernport; six daughters, Geraldine E. Folk, Baltimore, Mary J. Shriver, Zihlman, Patsy A. Miller, Mount Savage, Joyce L. Spataro, Clarysville, Linda Jean Digman, Mount Savage and Hilda Jane McAfee, Greensburg, Pa.; one sister, Elsie Lambert, Frostburg; 33 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandsons.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, Frostburg, Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2:30, with Father Harold E. Bishop officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
