Mrs. S. S. Burton
Mrs. S. S. Burton of Westville, died of a cancer in her face December 7th, in the 78th year of her age. The last few months of her life were the most intense suffering though endured with christian submission. She retained her reason to the last. Mrs. Burton was the youngest daughter of tbe late Whitney Jewell, and Deacon P. A. Jewell is now the only surviving member of the family.
Mrs Burton has long been a faithfull member of the Baptist church of Westville, a kind neighbor and a devoted wife and mother. She leaves a large circle of relatives besides four sons to mourn her loss. She was carefully attended by her son, Ira and his family and Whitney J. Burton.
