DEATHS: BOYER: November 1, 1980
Services were Tuesday in Glenwood for Loran M. Boyer Sr. 72 of Silver City, Iowa. He died Saturday night at a Council Bluffs Hospital.

Boyer was born on February 14, 1908 in Glenwood to Mahlon and Katherine (Berger) Boyer. He was a former President of the Silver City School Board, and was a member of the Silver City Masonic Lodge No 400 AF and Am and the Eastern Star 536. He was also a 50 year patron of the Omaha Stockyards.

Survivors include his wife, Tillie; a brother, Marion "Dutch" Boyer of Glenwood; a sister, Katherine Estes of St. Louis; sons Loran Jr. of Underwood and Jim and Clifford, both of Silver City; daughter Betty Millard of Silver City; and 11 grandchildren.

Services were at Peterson Mortuary with the Rev. Robert Hamilton officiating. Music was provided by organist Glenda Stevens, pianist Marjorie Graham, and soloist Neil McPherron. Interment was at the Glenwood Cemetery.
