Cora (Tillie) Boyer, 88 of Silver City, and more recently Glen Haven Home in Glenwood, died at the home February 23, 1995.

Mrs. Boyer was born in Sharpsburg, on December 12, 1906. Her parents were Norris and Lydia (Strong) Filbert. She was married August 6, 1926, in Rockport, Missouri to Loran Merle Boyer, Sr.

Mrs. Boyer was a member of the Silver City United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loran; daughter, Joetta Mae Boyer; granddaughter, Rebecca Boyer; brother, Clyde Filbert; and sister, Martha Shaffer.

She is survived by her sons, Loran Boyer Jr. of Council Bluffs, James Boyer of Silver City, Clifford Boyer of Silver City, daughter Betty Silver City, 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral was at Peterson Mortuary, February 27, 1995, with the Reverand Lisa Luethye officiating. Interment was at the Glenwood Cemetery.Memorials are suggested to Glen Haven Home.
