James H. Duggins, age 85 years, retired paiiilcr, died at Mercy hospital Wednesday uight, 8 :15 o'clock, following a long illness. Mr. Duggins had been in the hospital since Sunday, removed there from his home, 2230 Elmo avenue.
Born iu Eaton, August 24, 1850, he was the eon of James and Sara. Runyou Duggins. On November 4, 1875, ho was united in marriage with Sara Jane Bailey, of Eaton, and in 1888, he and his family moved to this city, where he followed his occupation
of painter, until his retirement in 1925.
For 40 years Mr. Duggins was presiding republican .judge in Prercinct K of tho Fourth ward.
Surviving are two eons, Chester and Fred Duggins, one daughter, Mrs. G. C. Fryberger, ono brother, William Duggins, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren all of Hamilton.
Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery.Pallbearers were, Chester,Fred, Robert and Earl Duggins, James Fryberger and Clarence Doellman.
