Prominent attorney, he first came to Florence in 1906 as a member of the firm of Ashcraft and Bradshaw and was widely known for his legal and civic activities. He served in the State Legislature and was once a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. He was president of the Florence Community Chest for 21 years and served two terms as president of the Florence Chamber of Commerce. He also served as president and organizer of the Florence Rotary Club.

Mr. Bradshaw was also attorney for the county and city boards of education. Bradshaw High School in Florence is named in his honor.
