Mr. Quick was born in Nelson County on March 13, 1902, a son of the late Sidney A. and Minnie Truslow Quick Sr. He was a retired farmer and a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church of Sherando.
Mr. Quick is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Lee Quick; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Annie) Hoseman of Amherst; four brothers, Charles Quick, French Quick, Boyd Quick and Sherman Quick, all of Lyndhurst; four sisters, Miss Effie Quick and Mrs. Hallie Henderson, both of Lyndhurst, Mrs. Lewis (Lillian) Pugh of Rilleyville and Mrs. John (Flossie) Small of Afton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mountain View Mennonite Church, conducted by the Rev. Roy D. Kiser and the Rev. Charles C. Ramsey, with burial in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Joe Bridge, Boyd Coffey, Earl Henderson, Bobby Henderson, Maphis Henderson and C. E. "Buddy" Henderson.
The body will remain in the Etter Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight.
