Mayetta. March 23. Died, on the 21st instant, M. E. Mullnax. He was one of our oldest and most respected citizens.

Miles E. Mulanax was born in Clark Co., Ohio Sept. 16, 1820, died at his home in Jackson Co., Kan., Mar. 22, 1896 - aged 75 years, 6 months and 4 days. The immediate cause of his death was heart trouble. He resided in Ohio till the age of sixteen, when he moved to Indiana; here he resided about ten years, when he moved to Missouri. At the age of 27 he was married to Rachel Miller. In 1856 he came to Jackson county, Kansas were he has since lived .... He was the father of five children, four sons and one daughter. Three sons have already crossed to the other shore. He leaves a wife, one son, one daughter, thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren About twenty-two years ago he was converted and joined the United Brethren Church ....
