Abram (or Abraham) S. Cadmus was the son of Stephen Paret Cadmus and his wife Ann Maria Bean, and it appears that he was named for his uncle, Abraham Bean. Abram is buried with his little sister, Delia Augusta, who died very young. The family had no other children than these two, and both died well before their parents.

"CADMUS--On Tuesday, May 10, ABRAHAM S CADMUS, only child of Stephen P. and Maria Cadmus. The relatives and friends of the family, also the members and exempt members of Guardian Engine Company No. 29, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, from the residence of his parents, No. 58 Grove street, this (Thursday) morning, at eleven 0'clock. His remains will be taken to Belleville, New Jersey for interment.
