DOCTOR DIES SOON AFTER DAUGHTER
by Kim Brewer, Star-Telegram Writer

Dr. Ernest J. Sachse Jr.'s last days were filled with sorrow, a consuming grief for the loss of his 18-year-old daughter, who died Jan. 27.
He died Friday at the age of 48. Sachse, of Euless, suffered a heart atack in the office of his clinic at 613 Soto Grande Blvd. The office was filled with pictures of his beloved daughter, Fauncine. She died after a stroke little more than two months ago. Her father never recovered.
"He had taken this so hard and grieved since her death," said his wife, Royene. Mrs. Sachse also took her daughter's death pretty hard. Two weeks ago, she flew to the Bahamas for a much-needed vacation. On Friday, she flew back. During a plane transfer in Miami, Mrs. Sachse was notified of her husband's death.
"I was just recovering from the trauma of my daughter's death," she said. "I've just cried until I can't go any further."
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Chapel in Hurst. Entombment will be at Greenwood Mausoleum, next to his daughter.
Sachse was a Fort Worth native, but had lived in Euless for several years. He was a 1950 graduate of Poly High School and attended the University of Texas for pre-medical studies. He graduated from the Kansas City College of Osteopathy, completing his internship at Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospital.
Dr. Sachse was a member of the First Methodist Church of Fort Worth, the Petroleum Club, Rolling Hills Country Club, Masonic Lodge 1164 and Moslah
Shrine Temple.
His family suggests donations to the Shriner home for crippled children or burn center.
Surviving are his wife, Royene; two sons, Roy M. Sachse and Ernest J. Sachse III, also of Euless; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest J. Sachse of Fort Worth.
