ANDERSON IS BURIED HERE

William Newton Anderson, a resident of this community since 1901, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the Ardmore Osteopathic hospital following a short illness.

Services were held Friday, Feb. 17 at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist church with Rev. Jim House and Rev. Carlos Berry officiating. Interment was in the Green Hill cemetery, with Bahner Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Anderson, 90, was born Jan. 1, 1871, in Nashville, Tenn., where he spent his early life. He moved to this community in 1901 from Bowie, Tex. He was a retired farmer and member of the Baptist church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lula Griffin of Davis; a son, George Melvin Anderson of Sulphur, and a foster son, Nelson Anderson of Davis; five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Duane Duck, Bill Tigert, Curtis Nelson, Tom Watson, Henry Williams, and Fred Ayers.
