WILSON, Clarence – Age 100, of Yoncalla, Oregon passed away Thursday, June 19, 1997. He was born April 11, 1987 in Coatesville, Indiana to John and Sarah Wilson. He married Edna Sehlin in 1929 in Yoncalla, Oregon who preceded him in death in 1935. In 1937 he married Idell Hickman. Clarence was a lifelong resident of Yoncalla. He worked as a carpenter, cowboy, logger, and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Tacoma during World War I. He enjoyed hunting and baseball. He is survived by his daughters, Naomi Buckelew and Enuice Chandler both of Yoncalla; sons, Keith Wilson of Yoncalla and Douglas Wilson of Cave Junction, Oregon; 12 grandchildren, 26 Great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 23, 1997 at the Yoncalla Assembly of God Church with burial at the Drain/Yoncalla Masonic Cemetery in Yoncalla, Oregon. Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel & Crematorium in Cottage Grove, Oregon is in charge of arrangements.
