Mr. Dooley was born in Walnut Hill, Arkansas to parents, Thomas J. and Frances Sevier Dooley. He was a member and usher at Benton United Methodist Church for many years. Mr. Dooley was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie Lay Dooley and grandson, Vol S. "Bubba" Dooley, III. He is survived by his son, Vol S. Dooley, Jr. and wife, Ruth, granddaughter, Patricia D. Davidson, grandsons, Steve Dooley and wife, Teresa, Michael Dooley and wife, Donna, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers were Joseph Davidson, Jonathan Davidson, Jamin Dooley, Justin Dooley, Hilmon Mitchell, A. M. Wallace, Bob McGowen, and Jesse Williams. He died following a lengthy illness.
