Glennice "Barney" McKinney, 79, of Frankfort rt. 3, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday (April 24, 1972) at Higgins Rest Home, Sheridan, after a lengthy illness.

He was born March 20, 1893, in Sugar Creek Township, the son of John and Carrie Scircle McKinney. He married Olive Fern Price on September 20, 1913, and he died November 23, 1969.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Scircleville Baptist Church and Hillisburg Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Harold of Kirklin rt. 1 and John Gerald of Sheridan; three daughters, Lucille Metzger of Frankfort rt. 4, Barbara Crawford of Sheridan and Phyllis Johnson of Frankfort rt. 3; two sisters, Mary E. Clark of Frankfort and Cressie Couden of Kirklin; two brothers Asa of San Antonio, Texas, and Joseph of Phoenix, Arizona; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A daughter, sister and brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Richardson officiating.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
