He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He was a resident of Rudy since 1948, he formerly lived in Reading, Kansas.
He was survived by his wife, Rose; three daughters, Rose Anna, Mary Lou and Alberta Kiene all of the home; two sons, Joe of Charleston and Tony of Lavaca; a sister Agnes Sojka of Washington, Iowa; a brother, Henry of Washington, Iowa; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Rosary was recited at St. Michael's Catholic Church and Mass was said at St. Michael's with burial at Holy Cross cemetery in Fort Smith.
