Dupont, Ga., Aug 15, 1889. After a protracted spell of sickness of many long months, Rev. D. J. Blitch departed this life Sunday evening, August 11th, last. He was 53 years, 8 months and 18 days old. One of DuPont's oldest citizens, a conscientious, upright and honorable member of society. Also a devout Christian, having been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for a number of years, his last membership being at the Magnolia Church. Although gone from our midst, his memory will ever be cherished by his numerous friends and beloved relatives. 'Tis said that an honest man is the noblest work of God. This legacy he certainly leaves with his devoted wife and children, who so patiently watched over and administered to his wants during his long illness. Peace be to his remains. A Friend.
